The official inauguration of the REEPRO DGS SolarSchools in Cambodia will take place on:
November 27th 2009 at the at COMPED Training centre in Cambodia
This SolarSchools will continue the REEPRO training programme and offer courses on the following 4 subjects:
• Technical and economic aspects on renewable energies • Photovoltaic • Biomass gasification • Biogas Courses will be offered for the 3 REEPRO levels: engineers and experts (level 1); technicians (level 2); and community stakeholders (level 3).
The inaugurations will start at 10 am and close at 12 noon followed by a short joint lunch. The objective of the event is to present the REEPRO training material, inaugurate the SolarSchool and present the courses, which ill be offered in 2010 at the SolarSchools. REEPRO Promotion of the Use of Renewable Energies The Objective of the REEPRO Project is to contribute to the provision of energy services to those currently unserved or underserved by high quality energy services through the promotion of renewable energies. During the REEPRO project an extensive training and information campaign in the target countries Laos and Cambodia was performed. As such, training kits including text books, teaching material and teaching descriptions were eveloped for Solar Energy, Biomass Energy and Renewable Energy Entrepreneurship. Additionally, selected communities were encouraged to develop and implement RES projects.
The local training kits are structured in 3 levels according to REEPRO’s 3 target groups • Level 1 – Engineers and experts, • Level 2 – Technicians and • Level 3 – Community stakeholders. Trainers of each level were trained and trainings for each level performed during the 3 years project.
