MRV – Promotion on Composting of organic Waste for Climate Change Mitigation in Battambang

Final Project meeting on 21-23, January 2013

   
 
On 21st January 2013, COMPED, IGES (Institute for Global Environmental Strategies, Japan) the Phitsanulok Municipality (Thailand) and Battambang Municipality created a meeting at Battambang city hall. The aim of meeting is to be sign memorandum of understanding between Battambang city hall and Phitsanulok city hall. The main activities of memorandum ofunderstanding is the cooperation to support technical project between Battambang city hall and Phitsanulok city hall in environmental work and city development with the aim of promoting welfare, livelihood of citizens as well as all works relevant to education sector and community development.
 

 

 
On 22nd January 2013, in the morning, COMPED, IGES, and Phitsanulok, was to visit Boeung Chhuk market, and after have meeting with leader of the market to discuss about waste separation and transport to dump site. The meeting discuss about how to collect and separate waste around the market, and how to transport to dump site.
In the evening, was to visit 13 Makara market and have meeting with the market leader and waste collection leader to discuss about how to collect waste and how to clean around the market, and solve problem about waste picker in market.
 
 
On 23rd, January 2013, in the morning, continue meeting at 13 Makara market with Mr. Pheap (Market leader) and waste collection leader. After finish meeting at 13 Markara market, have a meeting with the leader of Phsar Thmey Battambang (Phsar Nat) and the leader of waste collection, discuss about problem of solid waste.
